Yadin Bornstein, M.D. is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario majoring in Microbiology and Immunology. He then earned his medical degree from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology where he was elected valedictorian.

Dr. Bornstein began his general surgery residency as a preliminary resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he completed the first two years of general surgery training.
Dr. Bornstein’s clinical interest is Colorectal surgery with a focus in cancer immunology. His research interest is to understand the role of the immune system and gut microbiome in the progression and development of colorectal cancer.
