Dr. Winson Ho is a board certified pediatric neurosurgeon. His clinical work covers the whole spectrum of pediatric neurosurgery with a special interest in the neurosurgical care of children with brain tumors, epilepsy, and trauma.

His laboratory research focuses on developing novel immunotherapies for the treatment of brain tumors, with a particular interest in studying the role of Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A) in modulating anti-tumor immunity. He received his M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in the joint neurosurgery program of the University of Virginia and the National Institutes of Health. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Intermountain Primary Children’s Medical Center at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He was an Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at University of Texas at Austin from 2019-2022 prior to joining UCSF.
