William Q. Hua, Ph.D., is a clinical health psychologist at the San Francisco VA Healthcare System (SFVAHCS), where he provides integrated care services for veterans living with HIV and/or liver disease.

Dr. Hua also serves as: chair of the Psychology Diversity Committee, director of the Mental Health HIV/HCV Specialty Care Access Network-Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes clinic, co-director of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy clinic, and faculty member of three psychology postdoctoral fellowship emphasis areas (Integrated Care Psychology in HIV and Liver Disease, Primary Care Psychology, and LGBT Healthcare Psychology). Dr. Hua is an assistant clinical professor at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) and co-leads the Clinical Psychology Training Program clinical seminar. He supervises trainees at all levels of psychology training. His professional interests include behavioral medicine, health psychology, integrated care systems, and multicultural training of future psychologists.

Dr. Hua completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine at the University of North Texas and received behavioral medicine training through the Palo Alto VA Health Care System psychology internship and fellowship programs.
