Towards these goals, his team draws inspiration from a variety of disciplines within the data sciences, including biostatistics, natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Current areas of focus include: -Information extraction from clinical notes using Large Language Models -Retrospective emulation of clinical trials using EHR data -Reducing diagnostic delays using machine learning -Personalizing treatment selection using EHR and RCT data -Reinforcement learning for optimal clinical decision making
