She is a clinician-educator with medical education roles as a coach for the School of Medicine and as a member of the Program for Clinician Educator Sucess (PROcess) program in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Thompson served as an Associate Program Director for Curriculum and Mentoring for UCSF's Internal Medicine residency from 2018-2022. Dr. Thompson is committed to diversity and equity and is a co-founder of the Women in Leadership Development (WILD) program for the Department of Medicine. She was inducted into the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators in 2020.
