Dr. Minichiello is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF and the Chief of the Anticoagulation and Thrombosis services in the Division of Hematology at San Francisco’s VA Medical Center. She over sees a multidisciplinary service caring for patients on anticoagulation.

She developed the first electronic consultation program in anticoagulation and thrombosis for the VA, providing high level subspecialty consultation to urban and remote veterans and their providers. She serves as a subjust matter expert for VA nationally, is involved in regional and national anticoagulation-related guidelines, performance measures and policies. Dr Minichiello is on the Board of Directors of the Anticoagulation Forum. She has been invited to lecture nationally for the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine, Anticoagulation Forum and regularly teach residents, medical students, fellows, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, RNs LVNs, nutritionists in my area of expertise.
