Timothy is a medical education and clinical fellow in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and a prior chief resident in the Department of Medicine. He is pursuing a Master's Degree in Education with a focus in social sciences research at UC Berkeley during the 2023-2024 academic year.

His academic work focuses on the interplay between personal and professional identity, including how to apply social learning theory to support the development of early career clinician-educators and prepare them to engage in scholarly pursuits.

Timothy serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Graduate Medical Education, and he is the founder of MedEd Models and the principal content designer. He is the Lead Contributing Editor of Huppert's Notes, a first edition clinical handbook published by McGraw Hill, where he also serves as an educational consultant. He is the AAMC's Medical Education Planning Committee fellow from November 2023 through November 2025. Timothy is also the Course Director for HPE Global, an international course for clinician-educators with a class roster spanning six continents.

In addition, Timothy serves as the MedEd Academic Manager for Blueprint Test Prep and as an AI Clinical Fellow at Glass Health.
