At age 35, Dr. Grandhe became the youngest physician ever inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (FAAHPM), the Academy’s highest honor recognizing exceptional clinical practice and national leadership. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is recognized as one of the youngest physicians to achieve Fellowship in ACHE, reflecting board-certified expertise in healthcare management, governance, and executive leadership.

Dr. Grandhe is board-certified in Hospice care through the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board (HMDCB) and board-certified in healthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as a Fellow (FACHE). He is also a Healthcare Ethics Consultant–Certified (HEC-C) and a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). In addition, he is the only board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Intensivist and Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (DipABLM) in California’s Central Valley, integrating evidence-based lifestyle and preventive strategies into serious illness care to improve outcomes and value.

Raised in California’s Central Valley, Dr. Grandhe has remained deeply committed to serving medically underserved and disadvantaged communities. After completing his Harvard education and training, he returned to the region with a mission to deliver culturally responsive, compassionate, and ethically grounded care, particularly for patients facing serious illness and end-of-life decisions.

Dr. Grandhe’s care philosophy is captured in two guiding principles: “You Can’t Spell Hospice Without HOPE®” and “Sometimes Cure, Often Treat, ALWAYS Care®.”

Through clinical leadership, ethical stewardship, and system-level innovation, he focuses on improving quality of life, enhancing patient and family experience, reducing avoidable hospitalizations, and advancing patient-centered care across the continuum.
