Stephanie Hsia, PharmD, MEd, BCPS, BCPP is Co-Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco School of Pharmacy. Dr. Hsia directs the Neuropsychiatry theme, leads the curriculum’s Health Equity Thread, and provides didactic instruction throughout the pharmacy curriculum in psychiatric pharmacotherapy and health equity.

Her educational areas of interest are in training students to provide equitable care, piloting innovative educational technologies, reducing mental health stigma, and incorporating active learning strategies into the curriculum. Dr. Hsia practices as an ambulatory care pharmacist with an emphasis in psychiatric pharmacy in the UCSF Primary Care clinics. She provides medication management for Black and patients with Limited-English Proficiency in hypertension, mental health disorders, tobacco cessation, and diabetes. Dr. Hsia conducts research on creation and assessment of anti-oppressive curricula on health equity, implementation and impact of incorporating educational technologies in the classroom, assessment of student learning outcomes, and evaluating the impact of psychiatric pharmacists in new roles.
