My research project in laboratory of Dr. Kathy Giacomini focuses on genetic determinants of metformin response through genomewide association studies. In addition, my research also focuses on determining endogenous roles of membrane transporters through data from genomewide association studies and functional studies in cells.

I am actively involved in Pharmacogenomics Research Network (PGRN)-Hub (www.pgrn.org) to enhance scientific exchange and to expand the boundaries of understanding drug response within the context of precision medicine, both within the PGRN and between the PGRN and the scientific community at large. I work together with the team to create a robust PGRN website with multiple features and facilitating opportunities to access large resources that will enable collaborative research.
