I am a clinician-educator practicing in the Division of General Internal Medicine and serve as Program Director for the UCSF GIM/Primary Care Residency Program.

In addition to teaching and leading programs in fundamental and advanced skills in the provision of general internal medicine, I am a Fellow in the Academy of Communication in Healthcare and teach learners at all levels in fundamental and advanced communication skills nationally. I am also an educator of educators serving as a core faculty member in UCSF's Center for Faculty Educators as well as a member of UCSF's Academy of Medical Educators. Nationally, I serve as Faculty in the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) Teaching Educators Across the Continuum of Healthcare (TEACH) program which provides a longitudinal and in-depth training program in education for rising internal medicine faculty educators across the nation.
