Ryan Kohlbrenner, MD, is an Associate Professor in Interventional Radiology in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kohlbrenner completed his four-year diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco and served as chief resident in his senior year. He subsequently completed his Interventional Radiology fellowship at University of California, San Francisco.

Primary research interests of Dr. Kohlbrenner include computer-aided diagnosis, image processing, and radiation dose reduction for patients undergoing interventional procedures. His clinical interests include percutaneous liver and kidney ablations, prostate artery embolization for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and transarterial interventions for hepatocellular carcinoma and liver metastases.
