I am the Lead for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment at the UCSF Women’s HIV Program, where I have provided trauma-informed integrated behavioral health care for the past eight years. I have dedicated my career to public mental health, interprofessional education and practice, and workforce development through my academic leadership, educational innovations, and the building of academic practice partnerships in the UCSF School of Nursing.
My career has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence in healthcare delivery, education, research, and advocacy. I am an expert in trauma-informed psychiatry and addiction treatment, and my research is broadly focused on equity in emotional well-being. Grounded in a deep commitment to serving diverse populations and addressing healthcare disparities, I seek to empower individuals and communities impacted by structural inequities in the public mental health system.
My research interests include behavioral health workforce, equity in workforce wellbeing, silence behaviors at work, integrated trauma-informed mental health care, and human-centered design. My research focuses on expanding access to mental health care and promoting well-being in the work environment.
