Dr. Rishabh P. Acharya is a Board Certified Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Dr. Acharya received his dental training in Mumbai, India, and was the recipient of the D.Y. Patil University Gold Medal and the Pierre Fauchard Academy International Senior Student Award in 2014 for his outstanding academic achievements.

He completed a postgraduate certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Dental Science (M.D.S.) degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Newark, New Jersey. His thesis entitled “Retentive strength and marginal gaps of a bioactive luting agent: An in vitro pilot study” was published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Acharya completed a fellowship in Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics from The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, followed by an Advanced Education Program in Implant Dentistry from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Loma Linda, California.
Dr. Acharya is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry. He is the director of the School of Dentistry's pre-doctoral implant and clinical removable prosthodontics programs. He teaches prosthodontics in the School of Dentistry and treats patients in the UCSF Prosthodontic Faculty Practice.
Dr. Acharya is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics.
