Dr. Oishi serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer (Interim) for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital (BCH), San Francisco. He is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Clinically, he cares for infants and children in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in BCH, San Francisco.

He is the Medical Director of the BCH Inpatient Access Center, the Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Transport Program, and the Pediatric Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) Program. Dr. Oishi's research has been focused on pulmonary vascular disease associated with congenital cardiac defects, and ECLS.
