Natalie Francis, MD
Assistant Professor
Medicine
School of Medicine

I am a hospitalist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF with a focus on medical education, mentorship, and diversity initiatives. My background includes involvement in resident and medical student education through bedside teaching, small-group facilitation, and structured coaching.

I have contributed to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts through resident recruitment initiatives for underrepresented minorities, participation in diversity-focused committees, and mentorship of trainees from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, I am involved in community engagement efforts as part of the DHM Social Medicine Committee, including work with the GLIDE Foundation, to build partnerships between UCSF and local communities aimed at improving healthcare access and patient experiences. My work is centered on supporting trainees, fostering inclusive learning environments, and strengthening connections between academic medicine and the broader community.
