Dr. Hawkins is a generalist obstetrician gynecologist and clinical researcher with a focus on improving care for transgender and gender nonbinary people. Dr Hawkins' research explores the effects of gender-affirming hormone therapy on sexual and reproductive health. She also studies decision making by patients and health care providers with regard to gender-affirming medical and surgical treatments.
