Dr. Maulik Shah is the Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Neurology services at UCSF and the Adult Integrated Transfer Center at UCSF. He is involved in the clinical care of inpatients with neurologic disease, the education of neurology residents and medical students, and is involved in quality and safety projects spanning various clinical departments. He is the Director of the UCSF Neurohospitalist Fellowship.

His research interests include describing emerging clinical neurology phenomenology and defining transfer patient populations while also working to improve processes surrounding patient safety and satisfaction.
