Dr. Margaretten is committed to serving vulnerable patients while supporting the three traditional domains of academic medicine – clinical care, research, and education. She is a Master Clinician in the Department of Medicine, and her academic interests include improving clinical reasoning skills to enhance physician problem-solving. Dr. Margaretten is passionate about training the next generation of health care providers and is a Coach for the UCSF School of Medicine Bridges Curriculum, a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators, and co-directs the UCSF School of Medicine's foundational doctoring course.
