As inpatient Cardiology Consult attending, I coordinate complex care with Medicine, Family Medicine, Anesthesia, Neurology, Surgery Specialty, and Obstetrics Services. Echocardiography Laboratory and Cardiac Device Clinic duties encompass inpatients and outpatients. Cardiology Clinic and Anticoagulation Clinic duties include urgent evaluation prior to non-cardiac surgery and chronic management of diverse cardiovascular conditions. I respond to electronic requests (eConsults) for cardiology services from hospital areas, San Francisco Health Network clinics, and other healthcare facilities. I coordinate referrals to other UCSF campuses for cardiac electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and stress imaging procedures. I am Chair of the ZSFG Medication Error Reduction Plan Committee. I am Associate Medical Director for ZSFG Risk Management.
