Dr. Marianne Biangone has been committed to strengthening the diversity of the nursing workforce with a focus on faculty and the environments in which students learn. Her research is dedicated to exploring the various factors that impact nursing students' academic performance, with a focus on the development of strategies and tools to enhance a student’s overall resilience, wellness, and achievement.

Dr. Biangone consults both nationally and internationally, focusing her efforts on supporting workforce diversity by elevating the success of students from low-income and marginalized backgrounds. She utilizes a two-pronged approach: first, by directly engaging with students and by indirectly shaping the educational framework that supports their success, and second, by developing fair testing policies and assisting faculty in creating support tools and supportive learning environments.
