Dr. Madina Tugizova is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board-certified in neurology and fellowship-trained in neuromuscular medicine. She provides care to patients in the adult neuromuscular clinic, and she performs electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, and skin biopsies.

Her research background is in genetics and immunology. During medical school, she completed the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship. She has also received training in clinical research design at UCSF and is a sub-investigator on ongoing clinical trials for neuromuscular diseases.

Dr. Tugizova is passionate about teaching. During neurology residency, she received the Neurology Clerkship Teaching Award. She has served on UCSF's graduate medical education curriculum committee and continues to teach medical students, neurology residents, and neuromuscular fellows.
