Dr. Copeland is Board certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. After residency, she completed a two year fellowship in child psychiatry and a one year fellowship in developmental disabilities at the University of Iowa. As a fellow, she published a national survey on pediatrician practices in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD with Dr. Mark Wolraich, a prominent researcher in ADHD.

Dr. Copeland worked for 6 years at a California Regional Center (Alta) serving individuals with developmental disabilities and 16 years at Kaiser. She was a founding member of the very first Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT), a non-profit group advocating for early diagnosis and treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). She earned national certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Dr. Copeland is excited to use her various areas of expertise and her passion for maximizing each child’s development at the Children’s Health Center in Fresno. She is one of a team of faculty that together with Pediatric Residents conducts home visits for patients. She is part of the Collaborative Office Rounds, working closely with Child Psychiatry and Mental Health staff to streamline behavioral health care while giving cutting edge education to residents in the process.
