Dr. Rorvig is a family doctor and geriatrician dedicated to the care of older adults and persons with disabilities. Currently she works as a geriatrician for the Family Health Center at San Francisco General Hospital. In this role she sees patients in clinic, at home, and by video. Dr. Rorvig also sees patients for geriatrics consultation.

She is the director of the geriatrics curriculum for the UCSF Family & Community Medicine Residency.

Dr. Rorvig's research focuses on evaluating health care quality in the California Correctional Health Care Services system. She serves as the director of health education of Amend at UCSF, an institute focused on changing correctional culture to improve the health of those who live and work in U.S. jails and prisons. During the COVID-19 pandemic her work has had a particular focus on educating health care providers about the rights of incarcerated patients who require acute care in community hospitals.

Besides clinical medicine, Dr. Rorvig's primary professional interest is the well-being of trainees and physicians. She leads the geriatrics fellowship resiliency curriculum and has facilitated resiliency sessions for medical students and family medicine residents.
