Laurie joined UCSF in June 2015 as an Associate RSC in Research Management Services (RMS). Currently she is a Research Services Coordinator and Grants & Contracts Officer for RMS, serving the Department of Medicine. Laurie has a B.S. in Biology with emphasis on physiology and cell & molecular biology, and she has a diverse background in research and administration.

Prior to UCSF, Laurie spent nine years performing research in the academic, non-profit and commercial sectors of science and biotech. She has worked within the fields of cancer, neurobiology, drug discovery, device development and as a bonus, marine biology and ecology in the SF Bay.
