Kirsten Tolstrup is a non-invasive cardiologist with special interest in echocardiography, valvular and structural heart disease. Her clinical interests include use of transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal and three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography and supine bicycle stress testing with echocardiography for the evaluation of cardiovascular disease in general and valvular heart disease in particular. Dr. Tolstrup works closely with the interventional team on transcatheter based procedures such as TAVR and MitraClip.

Academic Interests:

Dr. Tolstrup’s focus is on implementation of new noninvasive procedures and development of multidisciplinary team approach to cardiovascular care. Her research interests are primarily centered around valvular heart disease and echocardiography as they relate to clinical aspects.
