Kevin Eddinger

Dr. Eddinger is a Vascular Surgery Fellow in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Eddinger graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. During his undergrad research, he contributed to a software platform used to perform in silico antibody design. Prior to graduation, he was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.

Dr. Eddinger received his MD in 2016 from The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. During medical school, he performed research investigating outcomes following kidney transplant in HIV and HCV-positive patients. He also helped investigate outcomes and predictors of success following locoregional treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. At graduation, he received the I.S. Ravdin Award for sustained originality in surgical studies.

He went on to complete residency in General Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. During residency, he completed two years of research under the mentorship of Dr. Benjamin Jackson, investigating novel ways to map, model, and predict growth of aortic aneurysms. He presented his work at multiple national meetings.

Dr. Eddinger moved to San Francisco in 2023 to train in Vascular Surgery at UCSF. He plans to pursue a career in academic vascular surgery.
