Julie has worked in the field of public health for over ten years. They have extensive experience in health education, reproductive health care, and supporting pandemic response efforts.

For much of the pandemic, Julie led numerous COVID response workforce communities of practice for rural and small local health jurisdictions across California, as well as the development and implementation of disease intervention training projects. Currently, Julie is a Program Coordinator for Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center and the Training and Health Collaborative with UCSF. Julie’s work is heavily informed by and focused on the intersections of racial, socioeconomic, disability, and queer justice. They are especially interested in the social and environmental factors of infectious disease.
