Julia Isen is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Associate Clinical Professor in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. She has been a non-salaried assistant and then associate clinical professor for the UCSF School of Nursing since 1998 in their AGPCNP Program and APNP program.

She has also precepted UCSF Nurse Practitioner students in Primary Care, Women’s Health and the Veteran's Administration Medical Center since 1998. In addition to teaching NP students, she has over 20 years’ experience providing primary care, Women’s Health Care and Urgent Care to patients in the clinical setting. Julia graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco where she received an MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner degree and Clinical Nurse Specialist certification. She has worked full and then part time at UCSF in the Women’s Health Primary Care center as well as the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in San Francisco. She and her family moved to Washington DC area in 2006 and she spent several years working at the National Naval Medical Center (now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center). She has spent the last 3 years at My Health Medical Group Primary Care Practice in San Francisco. Julia is deeply committed to providing comprehensive and personalized care to her patients in the areas of preventive care, acute care and chronic care.
