I am a physician-scientist interested in the genetic and molecular mechanisms that drive pulmonary vascular disease, particularly pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

My lab integrates human genomics with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics to develop and validate experimental/pre-clinical models of PAH. We use these approaches to understand how developmental transcription factors maintain endothelial cell identity and how disruption of these programs contributes to vascular remodeling. Our clinical research complements this work by identifying biomarkers that improve disease detection and risk assessment. We are expanding our efforts to define how rare genetic variants influence disease susceptibility, investigate their functional effects using patient-derived vascular organoids, and develop strategies to restore endothelial function.
