John Andrews, MD

John Andrews, MD is a neurosurgery resident with an interest in epilepsy, brain tumors and brain mapping. His basic science background includes single neuron, in vivo, whole-cell patch clamping to describe mechanisms of impaired consciousness. He has also used experience with electrophysiology to study seizure-spread on intracranial-electroencephalography, and how it might guide surgical resection. Mentors at UCSF include Dr. Edward Chang and Dr. Mitchel Berger.
