Dr. Wenjia "Jiajia" Zhang is a gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who treats women with endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, Asherman's syndrome, complications with C-section incision healing, and other reproductive system conditions. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues to develop tailored programs that meet the complex needs of her patients.

She specializes in advanced endoscopic techniques as well as robotic surgery.

Dr. Zhang’s research investigates into disparities in endometriosis care, intrauterine scarring following endoscopic fibroids removal, and the use of surgical robotic technologies for noncancerous gynecologic disorders.

Dr. Zhang earned her medical degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco. She returned to the University of California, San Francisco to join the faculty after completing a residency in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. She is passionate about medical education and is eager to mentor the next generation of surgeon-scientists.
