My academic mission is to improve quality of life and outcomes among patients living with liver disease. As a health services researcher, my interest lies at the intersection of pain management and hepatology. Specifically, my goal is to identify safe and effective pain control strategies that will improve outcomes and quality of life, and increase access to transplant, for liver disease patients with pain. I also studies gender disparities in patients with liver disease and undergoing liver transplant.

After earning my undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Yale University, I completed medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College and a Master of Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at UCSF.
