Jeannette Lager, MD, MPH is the Interim Chief of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Urogynecology Division, and Associate Director of the Multidisciplinary Endometriosis Center. Caring for gynecological patients is her passion. Dr. Lager provides patients with an array of treatment options tailored individually to each patient.

She specializes in minimally invasive clinical and surgical procedures for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, adenomyosis, fibroids, endometriosis, and benign ovarian cysts, among other conditions. She is also the co-Principal Investigator for Improving the Identification of Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis with Estrogen Receptor Targeted Positron-Emission Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging (PET/MRI).

She is the Director of Medical Student Education in OBGYN, overseeing medical student education over the 4 year curriculum and regularly lectures to medical students on various topics. Her educational research focuses on curricular changes in Obstetrics and Gynecology UME to ensure that students are educated with an anti-oppressive curricular lens, with exposure to the diverse aspects of OBGYN. She has developed modules for surgical techniques for fibroids and endometriosis and teaches surgical skills to medical students and residents. She is the Clinical Clerkship Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology for the School of Medicine.

Her non-profit work is dedicated to maternal and child health. Since 2008, she has been on the Medical Advisory Board of One Heart Worldwide, a non-profit organization focused on improving maternal and child health care for indigenous populations in developing nations such as Tibet, Nepal and Mexico.
