After graduating from Georgetown University School of Medicine, he trained in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital. He completed his cardiology fellowship at San Francisco’s Mt. Zion Hospital and Stanford University Medical Center. He has held many Cardiology positions including director of Cardiac Care Unit and Chief of Staff of UCSF/Mt. Zion.

He has been an attending cardiologist at California Pacific Medical Center since 1985 and continues his role as a mentor for residents and fellows. Currently, he is the Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at California Pacific Medical Center. As a noninvasive cardiologist, Dr. Mailhot has a wide breadth of experience treating an array of cardiac conditions.
