I now foster international cooperation as a member of the International Subcommittee of the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS).

After earning both my MD and PhD at the University of Hamburg, I completed an anesthesiology residency and a neuro critical care fellowship at Charité in Berlin. Currently a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at UCSF, my research focuses on perioperative brain health and innovative sedation strategies.
