Graham has 10 years experience working at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an inspector and inspection manager, where he still works flexibly.

Graham established a healthcare consultancy in 2015 (Mango Tree Group), using his expertise to advise healthcare providers around CQC compliance, regulation and inspection. He has worked with multiple NHS Trusts and private sector organizations, successfully guiding them to improve standards and CQC ratings.
Graham is currently at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the U.S after the COVID-19 pandemic motivated him to study a master's in Global Health Sciences and transition into research and teaching. He is currently a non-faculty academic specialist with the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) in the Department of Medicine. His research is focused on vulnerable/marginalized populations, HIV prevention, mental health, substance use and the carceral system.
