Gary M. Abrams, MD FAAN is Professor of Neurology at the Weill Institute for Neuroscience in the Neurorvascular Division. He completed his neurological training at the New York Neurological Institute of New York Presbyterian Hospital and received a Teacher-Investigator Development Award from the NIH.

Prior to moving to San Francisco, Dr. Abrams was on the neurology faculty of Columbia University and Medical Director of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Services at Helen Hayes Rehabilitation Hospital in New York. His clinical/research interests focus on advancing rehabilitation of chronic neurological disorders such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and pain.
