He later refined his expertise while working at a high-volume cardiology group in Tucson, Arizona, acquiring extensive experience in complex and high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (CHIP), including calcium modification, chronic total occlusion (CTO) revascularization, and advanced mechanical circulatory support.
Specializing in high-complexity cases, Dr. Gajanan utilizes advanced techniques such as intracoronary imaging, atherectomy, and a specialized CHIP skillset to ensure precision and success in coronary revascularization for the underserved Central Valley. He also maintains a dedicated clinical focus on the management of cardiogenic shock, emphasizing the rapid optimization of mechanical circulatory support to stabilize hemodynamically compromised patients.
A committed educator, Dr. Gajanan provides hands-on training to fellows, focusing on simplifying complex interventional techniques into practical clinical skills. A prolific contributor to the academic community, he has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, serves as a peer reviewer for JACC, JSCAI, and the European Heart Journal, and has served as a sub-investigator for pivotal clinical trials like IMPROVE and DEFINE-GPS. At UCSF Fresno, he remains dedicated to mentoring the next generation of cardiologists while advocating for the reduction of cardiovascular health disparities in the community
