Assistant Clinical Professor

Dr. Steelman is fellowship trained and specializes in sleep medicine. He attended University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, to earn his bachelor’s degree in psychology, earning high honors. He then attended Columbia University in New York to earn a post-baccalaureate certificate in premedical sciences. For medical school, he attended Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. He came to the Central Valley for his internal medicine residency at Saint Agnes Medical Center here in Fresno. To further specialize in his medical knowledge, he completed his sleep medicine fellowship at Loma Linda University.

His professional interests include non-binary, transgender, and gender non-conforming healthcare, as well as diversity and inclusion. He also has a personal interest in being a dog foster and a business partner in reinventing the fast food industry.
