Dr. Edgar Asiimwe’s background is in general internal medicine, having completed a categorical internal medicine residency at UCLA after medical school at Stanford school of medicine. His broad interests are in disparities in outcomes of colorectal cancer (CRC) for various population sub-groups in the US.

His current research is with a multisite collaborative examining the association between modifiable factors, such as nutrition practices, and survival from CRC among a diverse group of patients with the disease.
