Deborah Grady, MD, MPH is Professor Emeritus of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Bistatistics. She is the former Co-Director of the UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), former director of the CTSI Training Programs, and founder and former Director of the UCSF/Mount Zion Women's Health Clinical Research Center.

She is currently Deputy Editor at the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Internal Medicine and an editor of the textbook, "Designing Clinical Research, 5th Edition".

Dr. Grady has trained and mentored over 40 young researchers interested in women's health and received the Chancellor's Award for the Advancement of Women in 2000 and the UCSF Mentor of the Year award in 2001. She is an international expert on menopause and the risks and benefits associated with use of postmenopausal hormone therapy. Dr. Grady is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.
