I am an outpatient general internist, addiction medicine provider, and public medical consultant passionate about quality improvement and health equity. I currently serve as a Medical Consultant in the Division of Quality and Population Health at the California Department of Health Care Services, which administers Medi-Cal, California's Medicaid Program.

My professional focuses include promoting health equity, expanding access to care for substance use disorders, and integrating addiction services into primary care. I previously served as the site Director of the UCSF Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Alameda Health System and also an active member of the California Society of Addiction Medicine.

I previously served as Division Chief of Primary Care at Highland Hospital and was Founding Medical Director of the Buprenorphine Induction Clinic. I am a proud graduate of the UCSF primary care internal medicine residency track at San Francisco General Hospital and the California Health Care Foundation Leadership Program.
