I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. As an undergraduate I became interested in global health and have worked in Uganda, East Africa doing clinical research and international development. Between my third and fourth year of medical school I spent one year completing a clinical research fellowship in Northern Thailand where I studied attitudes towards novel HIV prevention methods among high-risk groups.

As a resident at UCSF, I became interested in quality improvement efforts and health care systems design with the goal of reducing costs and improving the experiences of patients and providers. To this end, I am currently pursuing postdoc training at Stanford University in health care system design, with a specific focus on cognitive decline among aging populations. I'm excited to be joining the Division of Hospital Medicine at the San Francisco VA as a part-time attending hospitalist where my responsibilities include coordinating care for hospitalized patients and supervising residents and medical students.
