Dr. Christine Anastasiou is an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the University of California San Francisco and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). She completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research (MAS) and Rheumatology Fellowship at UCSF, and then joined as faculty.

She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases. Her specific clinical interests include systemic lupus erythematosus, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, rheumatoid arthritis, and spondyloarthritis. She is a clinician in the UCSF Lupus Clinic, which has an overarching goal of providing high quality care for people with SLE.

Dr. Anastasiou is an investigator and collaborator for clinical trials of novel therapies for the treatment of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies.

She is actively involved in patient, medical student, resident, and fellow educational programs.
