Catie Oldenburg, ScD, is an infectious disease epidemiologist with the Proctor Foundation at the University of California, San Francisco and an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics. She is also the Program Director for the PhD in Epidemiology & Translational Science.

Her research interests focus on reducing morbidity and mortality related to infectious disease in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on antibiotic-based interventions for child mortality, trachoma, and malnutrition. She primarily uses randomized controlled trial designs to evaluate interventions. Dr. Oldenburg received her ScD in epidemiology with a focus in infectious disease from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
