Dr. Liang received his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Genetics with a minor in Asian American Studies from UC Berkeley. He then spent several years working in the biotechnology industry performing vaccine and cancer research. Dr. Liang received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his psychiatric residency training at UCSF Fresno.

Following residency, Dr. Liang joined the faculty at UCSF Fresno in 2022 as a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor and serves as an attending psychiatrist at the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health. He has strong interests in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students. He is a loyal Bay Area sports fan and passionately roots for the Oakland A’s, SF Niners, Golden State Warriors, and the SJ Sharks. He enjoys spending time with family and his dog, outdoor activities, playing tennis and golf, as well as participating in trivia competitions.
