During my clinical training in the U.S., I was further motivated to pursue a career in nephrology as I witnessed the disproportionate burden of end stage kidney disease among African Americans.

My research is focused on understanding the determinants of kidney disease among individuals living in rural East Africa and African Americans.

In addition, I am committed to creating a more diverse, inclusive and supportive community at UCSF.
