As a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Ophthalmology department at UCSF, my research interests revolve around neurodegeneration and aging. Through my authored research publications, I have contributed to the understanding of fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) and their involvement in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease.

My work includes exploring novel therapeutic approaches and inhibitors to protect against memory loss and mitochondrial damage induced by neurodegenerative processes. I am honored to have received prestigious awards and fellowships, including the Tohoku University President's Award and The Uehara Memorial Foundation Fellowship. I hold a Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, and a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science from China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China.
