Amanda Twigg, MD

Dr. Twigg is a medical dermatologist and her clinical focus includes: general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, teledermatology, rural health, and high risk skin cancer. She served as the Director of the High Risk Skin Cancer Clinic at UCSF 2015-2019.

Dr. Twigg divides her time between UCSF and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System where she serves as the Chief of Dermatology. At SFVA she attends a complex medical dermatology clinic, surgery clinic, and provides teledermatology services.

In addition, Dr. Twigg enjoys clinical teaching and mentoring students and residents. She was inducted into the UCSF Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators in 2021 and named the Endowed Chair in Dermatology Medical Student Education in 2025.
